Bahrain is a flat, sandy archipelago consists of 33 islands in the Arab Gulf between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. Bahrain has the same environmental problems that are characteristic of all the Gulf countries. The need to industrialize the country led to the occupation of what few fertile lands in the northern part of the main island. In additions, industries were located very near residential areas.
