Lebanon is a year-round destination. In terms of weather the best times to visit the country are spring and autumn. The summer coastal climate is hot and humid, but in the mountains it is very pleasant. Winter is mild and rainy in the lowlands and it snows at elevations over 1300 metres. However it is always recommendable to have a full picture of the weather situation during the time you intend to travel.
Lebanon’s climate is Mediterranean; it is hot and dry in summer,
cool and rainy in winter. The sun shines 300 days a year. The annual rainfall
on the coastal plain is around 35 inches and more than 50 inches in the
mountains.
Along the coast, humidity is high in summer; daytime temperatures are estimated
at an average of 30°C, while night temperature are not much lower.
Skiing during the winter months is popular at Faraya and the Cedars. Tour operators offer ski-season holiday packages.
