Morocco's export earnings are an estimated $3.5 billion annually from phosphate and phosphoric acid are Morocco's leading exports. Other exports include citrus fruit, wheat, fish, and minerals. Exports in 1999 earned $7.4 billion against an estimated total of imports of $10.8 billion. Imports consist of industrial equipment, food products, manufactured goods, and fuels. France, Spain, Italy, Japan, the United States, India and Libya are Morocco's main exporters.
