Tourist limitations in the Kingdom

Saudi Arabia is one of the most difficult countries in the world to visit. Unlike other GCC countries, hotels cannot sponsor visitors and for all practical purposes, a tourist visa does not even exist.

That said, should you be in the country on whatever kind of visa, there are things that would be of interest to tourists.

It is worth noting that foreigners on a visitor's visa can travel anywhere in the country -- except Makkah and Madinah for non-Muslims -- with only their passport.
