Train services in the main areas are good. The TMG runs frequently from Tunis to Carthage and La Marsa, stopping in all the suburbs. The only line inland goes to Metlaoui via Gafsa.
Train timetables are available from any station and most tourist offices. Trains nearly always leave on time.
